Here you can find sample  descriptions to provide examples of the types of clients and projects I am involved in.

AWS Managed Services Partner Program Since the launch in early 2015, David has worked on the AWS MSP Partner Program. As the team leader for EMEA, this role involves understanding AWS solutions to a reasonable technical depth, and spending 1-2 days onsite with a Consulting Partner that wants to be included in the MSP Program. These Partners represent the leading edge Cloud Managed Service Providers, and are expected to meet very stringent requirements for capabilities around delivering a highly secure, customer focused service. They are expected to be managing business outcomes for the customer rather than being focused on just the technology. The assessment covers all aspects of their business, from financial health & Devops capabilities, through to application migration and ongoing service management. The process is also designed to add value to the Partner by providing suggestions for improvements in their Business strategy and capabilities based on previously seen best practices, such as improvements in customer facing documentation.
Development and launch of a Partner Channel Program for a major Technology Vendor. The company traditionally targeted the Managed Services market but wanted to create a differentiated set of requirements for Partners selling in to this area. David was required to provide investigation in to market trends, industry standards and existing Partner processes to propose a set of standards to base these requirements on, which was selected as ITIL. David then created a virtual team to define the minimum set of capabilities required, using ITIL terminology, which could be used to assess Partner capabilities. This was eventually adopted across all the other Channel Partner programs offered by the company. This was later updated to include Cloud based services.
Cloud and Managed Services Market Development   David has worked on a number of projects that focused on the development of Managed and Cloud based Services in Europe and the USA   David worked with existing and potential Service Providers across the lifecycle of Managed Services development, from envisioning the types of services that could be offered to how to take them to market, and covered a wide range of technologies from infrastructure to Security and Collaboration. David also provided training for sales teams on the Cloud and Managed Services market, as well as meeting with key customers  to discuss their requirements and position the appropriate solutions. David also assisted with the creation of supporting documentation, for example MSD templates.
Service Development Workshop: David has worked on a number of projects to deliver Cloud and Managed Service development workshops for Service Provider customers. These typically take the form of 1-2 days dedicated time with the customer going through the market landscape, revenue opportunities, service capabilities  mandated by the market and optional value add  as well as the competitive landscape.  More recently, David has been working through a training company to develop content as well as train Channel Partners on how to use Cloud Workshops to sell business outcomes and value rather than being focused on reselling products.

Technology focused Training  David has worked on a number of projects to design and deliver Technology focused training courses both online and instructor lead: These courses are typically focused on the application of technology to effect positive business outcomes. Building on the experience of working with some of the leading edge Cloud Service Providers, these courses have covered a wide variety of technologies, and associated areas such as the application of Devops and Agile methodologies along with the benefits of automation for continual compliance, efficiency and scale. David is a certified on AWS and Cisco technologies and architectures. David has also completed an analysis of the current state of the training market for Cloud technologies for a company looking to potentially enter in to this market. This required independent research and analysis of current training capabilities to address this requirement, first hand knowledge of the comparative advantages of different approaches, and the ability to translate these in to recommendations that could be adopted by the client.

Technical Marketing Team Manager: David worked for several years in the USA, where he built up and lead a team of technical experts focused on the support of network infrastructure used by Service Providers throughout the world to deliver their services on. The team was required to support Layer two and Layer three (MPLS) networks, along with VoIP networking and Gateways. Responsibilities included creating technical marketing collateral, delivering presentations to customers, running a demonstration lab and providing an escalation path for major networking issues that could not be resolved by the support desk. David also helped to create a specialist overlay team within the sales force, and ran workshops to train them on all the latest product and market developments
